Oriflame Ecobeauty Smoothing Day Cream Review
The Ecobeauty day cream is dispensed through a pump at the top of the cylinder bottle and the first thing I noticed was its scent. Although Oriflame state that the range is free from synthetic fragrance the day cream has a distinct scent that I can still detect for an hour or two after applying. Its texture seems rich and creamy but once rubbed into the skin it feels light and the dry areas of my skin are much softer. I would say that it feels more like a primer on my skin than a day cream. I love that its paraben free! It’s great to see that Oriflame have moved towards developing products that contain fewer chemicals. However, I personally find the scent a little too much as I am used to day creams with little or no fragrance.

Oriflame Nail Growth Booster - How to use it & Review

Oriflame Beauty Nail Growth Booster is a personal favourite of mine and I use it regularly. Whilst I was on holiday I thought I'd write a post on how to use it as its a question frequently asked by customers and also provide a brief review based on my personal experiences.

How to use Oriflame Beauty Nail Growth Booster:
1) Apply the product to your nails in the same way as you would a nail varnish.
2) Once applied, massage the gel into the nail and cuticle with your finger until its fully absorbed.
3) Repeat twice a day for maximum effect.

Oriflame Beauty Nail Growth Booster Review:
Oriflame Beauty Nail Growth Booster comes in the same packaging as a regular nail polish and has the form of a green gel with little white dots through it. Unlike nail polish, it has no smell other than a slight Kiwi scent and is of a different texture.

For me, the main advantages of the product are that it absorbs quickly once it has been massaged into the nails and I genuinely do notice my nails feel stronger after I have used it. I usually have soft nails which tear easily and I find not only are they stronger but they grow much quicker than usual after I have used Oriflame Growth Booster. If you find your nails feel a little brittle after using Growth Booster then I've found that applying a nail butter helps to minimise this.

I typically use the Growth Booster three or four times a week unless I need my nails to grow quickly when I would apply it twice a day but, ultimately, it comes down to how much time you have for your daily nail care routine and, just as importantly, the type of nails you have.

Overall rating 5/5 - It does what it says on the tin!

The Growth Booster is usually £4.75 for 7ml (Regular price/10ml: £6.78) but I'd recommend waiting until it is on special offer as the Oriflame Catalogues change every 4 weeks.

Face Primer Review

face primer

Oriflame’s description
‘Lightweight lotion formulated with silicones to soften, soothe and mattify skin. Make-up glides on and stays fresh all day. Apply under foundation or powder. Can also be used as a base for eyeshadow. 30 ml.’

My opinion
This face primer certainly lives up to being lightweight and doesn’t leave my skin looking greasy. I have tried this under both a liquid foundation and just a powder; I personally feel it works better under a liquid foundation as it actually does allow the foundation to ‘glide on’ easily. This means that I can apply less foundation than usual which is great if like me, you’re quite pale and suffer with looking orange from the smallest amount of the palest foundation.

How could it be improved?
For me, the only thing that could be added to this face primer is sun protection but one way around this would be to use a day cream containing sun protection first thing.

Overall
I use this as part of my everyday make-up routine and I’d only recommend it for that purpose as Oriflame have other primers available if you’re looking for something more luxurious. I’d consider it to be a budget primer at £5.45 so I think it’s fair to say that it does the job at an affordable price and rate the primer at 4.5 out of 5.
